I started this painting in 2015 as part of a series of 30x30 cm paintings that I declared finished at the time but never published.

I kept viewing them now and then, but couldn't decide whether they were REALLY finished or not. So they languished in the studio, unseen, for many years. About three years ago I decided to work on them all and put them back into my "work in progress" pile. Occasionally pulled one out and worked on it—and now this one is finished! I love it particularly for its roughness and unpolishedness. It really has character!

The frame in the pics is just an example. You purchase the unframed work. If wanted I can deliver it with a beautiful, handmade float frame (oak, oiled) for an additional amount of €30; if you're interested please contact me before you purchase.
