This work was inspired by early 20th century modernism, in particular the work of the Futurists and Vorticists. In this painting I wanted combine the graphic impact of hard edge geometries and flat colours with a dynamic energy. The image moves between harmony and dissonance, never resolving itself but remaining in a state of restlessness.
