The amulet vendors. I am so drawn to this subject. These are the amulet vendors who gather outside of the big weekend market in Bangkok,Thailand. There’s a flea market kind of mood as collectors browse for that special item. Every time I walk past there I’m taken up by body language and arrangement. And this time I feel I did a fair representation of the phenomenon, combined with the spilled colour look I enjoy these days.
This is a nice size paper… I have room to move the paint around, and enjoy the effects I can conjure.
This painting is as much about the colour play as it is about the subject.
The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress.
