The amulet vendors. I am so drawn to this subject. These are the amulet vendors who gather outside of the big weekend market in Bangkok,Thailand. There’s a flea market kind of mood as collectors browse for that special item. Every time I walk past there I’m taken up by body language and arrangement. And this time I feel I did a fair representation of the phenomenon, combined with the spilled colour look I enjoy these days.
This is a nice size paper… I have room to move the paint around, and enjoy the effects that brings.
This painting is as much about the colour play as it is about the subject.
The close up pictures are of higher resolution to be able to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
4th picture is the work in progress on my work table for perspective.
