Almond Trees in Bloom (2026) Original Oil Painting by Nikolay Dmitriev

Nikolay Dmitriev’s mountain landscape sets up a dialogue between the transient beauty of spring and the timeless permanence of the highlands.
The composition masterfully frames a sunlit alpine peak with two monolithic, beautifully weighted almond trees in full blossom. Dmitriev uses a highly sophisticated palette, layering cool lavenders, vibrant magentas, and soft blush pinks against the warm, weathered ochres and deep sienna of the mountain slopes. The heavy, sculptural impasto on the flowering canopies gives the blossoms a palpable, tactile density, while the thin, fluid handling of the sky and distant ridges creates an immense sense of atmospheric perspective. The landscape brings sophisticated energy and exceptional depth to any fine art collection.
