This oil painting on paper is of a very large, mature oak tree in my rural surroundings. I have worked very loosely with the paints here to keep the painting fresh and energetic and I like the way the limited palette merges and blends to create a myriad of greens. Painted on cartridge paper, the painting can be framed with a mounted border or within a close fitting frame.
