This painting is based on a motif I observed and reinterpreted: the French Riviera, a solitary figure walking along the shore, and an agave plant that appears almost as a living presence. In the composition, the agave enters into a silent dialogue with the figure while also functioning as a decorative curtain — a visual element that both frames and shapes the scene.

The surface of the work is highly textured and finished with a glossy varnish. The painting is created over a black imprimatura, which remains visible and extends onto the edges of the canvas, all painted in black.

The work evokes a sense of tension, mystery, and solitude. It is rich in color, насыщенная и контрастная, with a vivid and expressive palette, and is stylistically close to Post-Impressionism.
