Afternoon at the Restaurant (2022) Original Oil Painting by KAZUHIKO

This painting, created using traditional oil painting techniques, was inspired by my desire to capture the joy of spending time alone in a restaurant bathed in gentle natural light.

Furthermore, regarding the composition of light—another central theme of this work—I aimed to create a composition that is bold yet stable, with a palette dominated by warm, inviting colors.

The work was created using traditional oil painting techniques on a canvas stretched over a wooden frame, with the artist personally handling every step of the process, from priming to completion.
