I have always been fascinated by the tension between darkness and light. In this series, I wanted to explore the feeling of relief we get after a difficult day. By using thick, bold palette knife strokes, I wanted to show that even when the sky (or life) feels heavy and dark, there is a vibrant, golden energy waiting to break through. I hope this painting reminds the viewer that beauty often appears most clearly right after the storm passes.
