After the Rain, County Kerry (2026) Original Watercolour by Iryna Kindrytska

There's a moment right after the rain — a few last drops still falling, but the sky already softening, opening up. It never lasts long. In five minutes, the rain returns. This painting is that fleeting breath in between.

Inspired by Listowel, a small town in County Kerry, Ireland, where my family once lived. I remember walking through the park there just as the clouds broke — grey turning to lavender, then a flash of gold breaking through. That exact shift in light is what I chased on paper.

Soft washes of lavender and rose drift across the sky, giving way to warm gold and green fields below — the colors of Irish weather changing minute by minute. I love painting in watercolor because of its unpredictability, pigment spreading and blooming across wet paper, finding its own path.

A small piece of Irish sky to bring home — hand-painted, one-of-a-kind, and signed.
