It is important for Budanov to capture the rhythm, tonality, and tempo of the music with a brush on canvas. Having lived in Cyprus for many years she is also inspired by the sea and the underwater landscapes. Her unique and spontaneous oil paintings are always executed in bold or pastel colors that bleed into one another as if they have been submerged in water. However, she has also found that the world, in its current predicament, is too harsh and dark and wanted to create artwork that would make anyone content even in the darkest of days. It doesn't presume anything, it just is.

I love the blue color. I used it very often in my artwork and enjoyed it every time. The blue is the color of the sea, of the water. In that painting, I used my unique technique - painting with the knife. Space is breaking - there is a lot of air, empty space to show my bouquet in full glory.
