Abracadabra (2020) Original Pastel Drawing by Dan Laurentiu Arcus

We are easily fascinated by spectacle, especially when it promises transformation.

Around us, crises are turned into formulas, remedies and grand solutions, mixed and presented by those with the power to define what comes next.

Meanwhile, the audience watches, waits and believes—or simply remains mesmerised by the performance.

Sometimes the trick is not making something disappear. It is keeping everyone’s attention on the cauldron.
