A Summer of Love (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Mariann Johansen-Ellis

big blooms, scented, in a big jug, is there anything that says summer more than that. I love filling my blue and white jug with all the gardens flowers, making a peaceful jumble of colors, that never cease to amaze and inspire.

On paper prepared for acrylic paints I have, with acrylics, painted the flowers and the jug, quite freely with big brush strokes, the painting is very colorful with a calm serene olive/khaki green background.
It is signed on the front and I have added title and year to the back.
When dry I have UV varnished the painting that measures 100 x 70 cm (39" x 27")
with a small 1 cm (0.5") surround for framing.
