A mini reduction linocut of a clump of snowdrops. I always find winter a difficult time in the UK, I miss the sunshine terribly. For me, snowdrops are a sign that better, sunnier times are around the corner; a promise that life is waking from hibernation...

A Promise of Snowdrops is my first print in a planned range of invented collective nouns for flowers.

A reduction print is a relief print formed with layers of colour that are cut and printed from the same block, in this case, from lino. This is one of a small edition of prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original. You will be buying print 11/16.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour framed in 21mm natural oak.

This artwork will be packaged in a bubble envelope with plenty of card and bubble wrap support for safety.
