"A Living Room Tale", is an original 30" x 24" oil painting on canvas of a pair of adorable Fairy Blue Penguins in a colorful, inviting interior setting.
This is the first in a new series of original oil paintings of interiors into which I am painting a variety of birds and other wildlife. The coastal-themed room is filled with books including one about Captain James Cook and another of his adventurous ship, The Endeavor! For fun, I painted the symbol of "Penguin books", on the spine of one of them! On the wall in the background, there is a green lamp with a nasturtium shade and some coral. I added a beautiful seascape to the wall. Blue Fairy penguins are found in New Zealand and Australia. I first saw them at an aquarium in Napier, New Zealand that housed rescued birds. They are gorgeous with beautiful coloring.
The sides are painted white and are 1 1/2" deep. It is fitted with D-ring hangers and plastic coated picture wire, it can be hung framed or unframed.
This painting ships for free in the US. It ships in a box and arrives ready to hang. Overseas, it ships rolled in a tube arriving ready to be re-stretched by your local framer.
