In "Rendez-vous" I explore the quiet intensity of a meeting between two souls. This diptych captures a moment of suspended animation, where two figures-each framed in their own mirrored reality-reach out toward one another across a dark, floral abyss.

My characters, with their characteristic elongated features and piercing gazes, are adorned in intricate, patterned attire that blends seamlessly into the surrounding botanical tapestry. The composition is built on symmetry and reflection; the upper figure, dressed in a harlequin-inspired blue bodice, and the lower figure, draped in a hooded, patterned cape, seem locked in a delicate, silent conversation expressed through the placement of their slender hands and the gentle offering of flowers.

There is an underlying tension here between closeness and separation, intimacy and mystery. The deep purples and blues of the background serve to pull the viewer into an atmospheric, dreamlike space, turning this "rendez-vous" into a timeless, symbolic ritual.
