Original artwork description
A series which slowly transitioned from sole Hyper-realist paintings to quasi abstract/realist works. The obstructive nature of juxtaposed imagery and jarring paint sensation really spoke to me, alongside my ongoing commentary on modern culture and social media.
This piece looks at idealised beauty, obstructed by an bold, forceful square which dominates the composition. Geometric shapes and their symbolism have had a profound impact on my work since this piece created in 2013.
