Words and feelings of my experience when I met up with family at Osmington mills near Weymouth, Dorset in July.
Original expressive watercolour on cold pressed Fabriano 300gsm 140lb.
I created this watercolour plein air. It was from my observation and visual memory.
I wet the paper sporadically all over and I remember how hard it was to paint in the heat. I persevered and continued with my wet on wet washes using a three colour technique. Feelings and emotions played a big part in this painting and it was wonderful to revisit a very special area full of memories with my children walking some of the South West coast path.
