Biography
Caroline Green is a multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant, narrative‑driven paintings reflect a lifelong immersion in creativity. Raised in a family of painters, woodworkers, musicians, poets, and authors, she grew up surrounded by artistic expression. Early museum visits and time spent in her mother’s studio shaped her foundation, and by high school she was exploring watercolor, acrylic, oils, encaustics, and pastels. She later studied at the Arts and Communication High School in Beaverton and earned a degree in Fine Art from PCC, deepening her technical skills and studio practice.
Green’s work has developed through distinct bodies of work, each tied to personal chapters. Her early series Admiring the View emerged from her experience working in a Portland hospital, translating the emotional landscape of medicine into muted, contemplative paintings. In 2012, her love of animals inspired a prolific series of pet portraits, now commissioned internationally, with a portion of proceeds supporting animal organizations.
Her paintings have been exhibited throughout Oregon, featured in IFC’s Portlandia and has been published in multiple magazines including Studio Visit Magazine.
Deeply involved in her local arts community, Green has taught children and adults, served as Vice Chair of the Gresham Art Committee and was the La Strada Chalk Artist Team Lead.
Currently Caroline is the owner of Paint and Sip Portland, Publicity Lead to the Washington County Art Alliance and painting instructor.
