Biography
I am a contemporary artist based in Warsaw, Poland. My practice explores identity, memory and the ways we construct and perform ourselves in the modern world.
I am particularly interested in self-representation — the difference between who we are and who we choose to appear to be. Today, this process extends far beyond everyday life: we constantly create, edit and maintain our image in the digital space.
My current series, Clownery, explores this tension between the authentic self and the persona we construct for others. Through expressive figurative painting, I look at social roles, vanity, vulnerability and the enormous amount of energy we invest in being seen in a certain way.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, using expressive brushwork and a reduced, distinctive palette to create psychologically charged scenes that combine elements of intimacy, performance and observation.
I grew up in a family of artists and have been drawing since childhood. Since 2017, I have exhibited my work in Belarus and across Europe, including exhibitions in Poland, Germany and Spain. I have collaborated with galleries and auction houses including Totuart, Glaza Design Art Gallery, Vinci Art Gallery, Agraart and Rempex.
In 2023, I was awarded the Gaude Polonia scholarship by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland for my artistic project Steel and Water.
My works are held in private collections internationally.
I believe that contemporary painting can be both deeply personal and universally recognisable — a way of looking at ourselves through the images we create for others.
