About Yixin Yuan
Biography
Inspired by traditional Chinese paintings of the Tang, Song, and Qing dynasties, I aim to recreate the classical Qinglü (blue-and-green) landscape on Xuan paper, blending traditional and modern techniques, East and West approaches, using brush, ink, and mineral pigments. My work seeks to capture the tranquil and distinctive beauty of Chinese landscapes—pavilions, rivers, and soaring mountains—while retelling the essence of Chinese painting culture. Through this fusion, I hope to convey a sense of mindfulness and serenity, offering a moment of calm and reflection amidst the pressures of daily life.
