Biography
Vladlena Miroyan is a Ukrainian-born artist currently based in London. With a background in architecture, she earned her diploma in Ukraine before moving to the UK in 2000 with her daughter to pursue a career in architecture and engineering. She worked in the construction industry for several years.
Over time, Vladlena’s professional path gradually merged with her lifelong passion for art. Today, she is dedicated to developing her practice as a professional artist. Her recent exhibitions include: Watercolour Golden Brush 2026 (France), International Watercolour Masters 2026 contest (England) , International Watercolour Exhibition 2026 (Italy), TALP The Artist & Leisure Painter Open Art Competition 2025 (England), London Urban Sketches Exhibition 2025 (England).
Vladlena travels extensively, drawing inspiration from cities, cultures, museums, and galleries around the world. She sketches and painting plein air, takes photographs, captures impressions in travel sketchbooks, later transforming them into large artworks in her studio in Surrey.
Her artistic style is shaped by her architectural roots, blending structural precision with expressive freedom. Working primarily in watercolour—a medium she treasures for its spontaneity and delicacy—Vladlena seeks to capture the beauty of everyday moments and the emotional resonance of the places she explores.
