About Sreya Gupta
Biography
Sreya Gupta is an Indian Contemporary Artist, and professional Jewellery Designer. The three things which define her style are – a bright colour palette, a detailed subject and a botanical background. Each composition is a tribute to the nature- a never ending source for inspiration. She believes in versatility and likes to explore different mediums and styles. Some of her favourite subject includes Landscapes, birds and butterflies. Bird conservation is the prime purpose of her works which exhibit intense colour, texture and beauty revealing some very unique bird species which are precisely portrayed with lush green foliages and flowers. The botanical background of each work is meticulously created to complement the subject.
Artist Statement:
“My works explore some amazing bird species represented with floral symbolism and color harmony in contemporary compositions. My personal attachment to birds and nature is deeply connected with admiration of such a vibrant and variant color palette of nature that is a constant source of inspiration and a true source of hope and freedom that evoke from each bird in the wild. Through my paintings I aim to capture nature in a way that displays life and beauty. To portray the diverse beauty in nature that captures the essence of the subject with colors in the highest detail is truly a challenging creative experience. Nature is my muse, peace and hope.”
