Biography
Silvio Mazzotta’s artistic journey is rooted in an early vocation, driven by a visual sensitivity that has been recognized since his childhood. His creative path was formally structured through rigorous training in Rome, studying at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA) under Maestro Tullio De Franco, and further refining his practice at the Porta Blu association with Alberto Parres.
Today, Mazzotta’s research focuses on contemporary female portraiture, explored through an abstract and psychological lens. His works go beyond mere representation, seeking to capture the invisible essence of the subject. Through a formal synthesis that merges painting, illustration, and sculpture, he distills pure emotion, allowing color and gesture to prevail over defined lines. Living and working in Rome, Mazzotta continues to investigate the constant dialogue between form and abstraction.
