About Sean Fear

Biography

My love of art started young. I couldn’t stop drawing and at 8, a quick sketch of Scooby-Doo won a school competition. I studied Illustration at the University of Falmouth, developing a spontaneous comic-inspired style with pen, ink, and watercolors. After graduating, I illustrated children’s books and created custom drawings for private clients.

In 2013, I moved to Athens with my wife and we now have a wonderful daughter. Today, I teach art and work as a graphic designer at a private school while continuing to create paintings inspired by skies, land, and sea, as well as other subjects and environments that capture my attention. I aim to convey light, texture, and atmosphere, exploring both quiet and dramatic moments, and translating the feeling of these scenes into my paintings.

“My desire to create flows naturally as I interpret my own experiences rather than striving for perfect imitation. This approach allows me to feel connected, open-minded, thankful, and honest.”
