Biography
Serghei Pavlov is a visual artist, painter and restorer based in Timisoara, Romania. His artistic path was shaped by a strong connection to fine arts, tradition, sacred imagery and the material life of the artwork.
He studied art from an early age, following a complete artistic education through Art School, Fine Arts High School and a five-year university program in Fine Arts. His practice combines contemporary painting with a deep understanding of surface, texture, time and restoration.
His works explore memory, inner transformation, spiritual energy and the traces that human experience leaves behind. Through layers of colour, gesture and material, the painted surface becomes a space of movement, emotion and visual reconstruction.
Alongside his activity as a painter, Serghei Pavlov has developed an important practice in the restoration and conservation of icons and art objects. This background gives his contemporary work a strong sensitivity toward materiality, depth and the symbolic power of the image.
His recent series, Layers, brings together colour, texture and spiritual reflection, transforming personal and universal experiences into visible forms of energy and memory.
