Biography
Current Status: On a creative sabbatical. New original works will be available for shipment starting in the end of March 2026. Follow my “Me at Work” feed for behind-the-scenes glimpses of my upcoming collection. Based in Denver, I blend classical training with the rugged, textured beauty of the Colorado Rockies. Using palette knives, I sculpt thick, tactile layers of oil and mixed media to bridge the space between realism and abstract expressionism. My work is known for its architectural grip on dimension, poetic color, and a quiet emotional power that invites viewers to feel the raw movement and energy of nature. As a Colorado-based artist, I create textured palette knife paintings, sculptural mixed-media florals, and expressive landscapes that celebrate light, atmosphere, and the layered spirit of the natural world. Influenced by European landscapes and classical Russian techniques, my paintings feature rich impasto and dimensional surfaces with a contemporary, timeless aesthetic. My practice also includes photography and digital art, with early fresco work under the OLena Art brand forming a cherished part of my artistic legacy. My artworks are collected internationally and are available as originals, fine art prints, and licensed designs. I welcome commissions for custom textured florals, landscapes, or abstract compositions tailored for modern home or office spaces.
