About Lisa Price

Biography

I am an artist living and working in Lincolnshire, specialising in bold 'statement art' pieces. My work is very process driven and is forever evolving. I love to continually experiment - loving the exploration and creative journey.

My love of art firmly rooted in my early teens, following a very serious head injury as the result of an RTA. I sustained extensive brain damage and had to learn how to speak, eat, walk, etc all over again. Art was a lifeline - squiggles became doodles became sketches... a crucial way to communicate and express myself.

Prior to COVID and lockdown, my work was primarily finger painted acrylic skies and Space, with the latter earning me some critical acclaim and a sizeable following, with work being regularly shipped to the USA, Canada and Australia. I was fortunate to have headlined some prominent Space Art exhibitions. Whilst I still occasoionally create my beloved Nebula Art, I've increasingly returned to Abstract Art, my first love. My abstract pieces are eclectic, but hopefully unmistakably mine, with a distinct application of textures, patterns and layering.
My work sells through galleries, shows, and also online. I undertake regular Commission work, loving the opportunity to create something special for my wonderful clients. Previous commissions undertaken include a retirement space piece for an astrophysicist and 2 paintings for display in a prominent European observatory.
My work is internationally collected, with regular shipments to America, Canada and Australia.
