Biography

Ovidiu Kloska (b. 1977, Romania) is a contemporary visual artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, welded-steel sculpture, mixed media, and oniric conceptual photography. His work explores the liminal tension between matter and spirit, weaving metaphysical atmospheres with textures shaped by erosion, memory, corrosion, and the slow architectures of time.

Fascinated by the dynamism of shape, Kloska constructs a personal visual language rooted in neurological impulse, dream logic, and the poetic transformation of the ordinary. He describes his creative intuition as “a magic eye” — an inner sensor capable of deciphering the sublime inside the mundane. Hours spent observing mud sediments, bark wrinkles, oxidized walls, mossed stones, or nocturnal light become meditative exercises, warming the spirit and reconnecting the artist with silence, ephemerality, and the esoteric pulse of world-matter.

His visual universe is fundamentally oniric, relating closely to dreams, unconsciousness, delirium, hallucination, metamorphosis, spontaneous gesture, illusion, and the delicate border between the abnormal and the normal. Each artwork functions as a portal in continuous vibration — between presence and absence, entropy and order, lucidity and reverie.

Born in Roman, Neamț County, on July 27, 1977, Kloska first graduated from the Technical University “Gheorghe Asachi,” Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (2000). He then completed both his Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at George Enescu National University of Arts, Iași. He currently lives and works in Focșani, Romania.

Kloska is a member of the Romanian Union of Professional Artists (UAP). His artworks are held in private collections in the USA, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Romania, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. In 2024, a welded-steel sculpture was acquired by a Hong Kong collector for €2,700. In 2023, one of his major paintings sold for €12,000 at the prestigious charity auction Balul de la Castel, where he exhibited alongside leading Romanian artists, including Vladinsky.

Over the last two decades, the artist has also sold a significant number of works through international online auctions across multiple global art platforms, contributing to his sustained visibility on the international art market.
