I studied fine art in Russia and live and work in Berlin, Germany as a freelance artist since 2002. The themes of color and light, time and matter, earth, sky and water at different latitudes are very important to me and a main source of inspiration. In my paintings I deal with space, materiality, beauty and destruction and paradoxically combine expressive and meditative elements. I use various techniques in my work, some of which I have developed myself. My materials are pigments, oil and acrylic paints, asphalt, resin, quartz, plaster, emulsions, cement, earth, clay, chalk and sometimes various found objects. I work with several layers and arrive at a result that can be associated with a natural phenomenon.
