Midwestern artist, transplanted to Colorado. I paint mostly figures amidst abstract landscapes or ambiguous backgrounds. The figures are the focal point and take priority in detail and size. Usually there is an experiment with medium going on within the painting; be it with application method or process. I enjoy lacing drawing elements throughout my work that sometimes define or flatten the piece depending on the subject. The use of negative space is always taken into consideration.
