Kunst trifft Küche - art meets kitchen. The exhibition demonstrates the interaction of modern utility surfaces and design ktichens with the vibrant coulour and lively, organic surfaces of my artwork. About 60 pieces of art are on display in a unique combination of interior design and abstract coulour compositions.

Biography
I am working in a process-oriented, informal way to create artworks of vibrant colours and / or textured surfaces. In my mixed media works I often apply traditional methods of making colour and combine them with a modern, expressionist approach to creating abstract artwork.
Holding a university diploma in physics, art is my second career. I spend quite a lot of time and passion on researching and deepening my knowledge of materials, colours and their interaction. and of course I simply enjoy the freedom of of the creative process itself.
Painting is like riding a bike hands-free - a fairly mastered kind of liberty
The pleasure is unveiled to those riders, who are ready to control their own balance as well as their vehicle without pondering much about it.
Color assumes the role of the bike in my artworks. My paintings evolve from dealing with color matter and the dynamics of working with dense, coarse grained, pastose or fluid materials.
Since I had formerly been educated as a physicist, I am well aware of the gyroscopic loads, holding the bike upright, if it’s speed does not slow down too much. The art of riding a bike thus boils down to in essence the art of not disturbing the interplay of these physical forces.
Applied to the domain of arts, this example makes it easier to understand the process-oriented way of working, the guiding principle of art informel / abstract expressionist painting: The artist just should avoid disturbing the picture and its patterns arising from a dynamical interaction with color and materials…
Anyway: My artwork appeals to collectors and is found in private collections all over Europe and with some individual art-lovers in the US.
