About Alan Pergusey

  • Biography
My paintings are about the everyday and the magical. I like to make paintings about people and places that are special to me, sometimes directly and at other times  I try to evoke a particular experience. A picture will often evolve during the creating process as I aim to extract the most important elements from it to express the idea that I am playing around with in my head.
I use the painting space to create a fictional world where I am able to add to the reality of a situation and make it into something intriging and special.
