This work is a contemporary reinterpretation of "Young Woman in a Window Feeding a Parrot" by Caspar Netscher. While not a Rembrandt, Netscher’s mastery of light, gesture, and texture evokes a similarly rich atmosphere — which drew me in.

My version deliberately shifts between precision and looseness, between areas that remain unfinished and moments of expressive intensity. It is an exercise in tension: between the classical and the gestural, the historical and the now.

This exercise is rather a conversation — an act of looking back and stepping forward, letting a 17th-century image breathe anew in a postmodern register.

- the exact size is 155 x 110 cm / 61.4 x 43.3 inches
- acrylic, pencils pastel, on canvas
- I applied to it more isolating layers of glossy final varnish.
- it has about 5-7 cm extra white margin on the edges, in order to be stretched on wooden frame later on.

- custom charges vary in each country outside Europe and are not included in the price of the artwork

It will be shipped rolled, in a hard tube. I recommend taking the artwork to a professional framer, in order to have it re-stretched.
