Original artwork description
In an effort to overcome the prohibitive costs of shipping paintings, I have created a concept that I call "EZ Ship," in which a painting is created on multiple small panels that are joined to create a larger painting. In this case, (6) 9" x 12" canvases have been joined to create a 27"w x 24"h painting. Yet, the painting will ship in a box small enough to accommodate the 9" x 12" format, with the canvases stacked and protected inside one box. Only (7) machine screws with wing nuts are needed to put the panels together once they've arrived at their destination. The hardware, of course, is included. No tools are needed; simple hand tightening suffices. Written assembly instructions and a video are included.
This painting is the second in this series, "You Are Love #2," which is based upon the Gospel of John (4:7) which states, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God." This painting was created as a watercolor collage on Arches paper that was then mounted on (6) 9" x 12" canvases that are joined as one painting and overpainted in oils. Hanging hardware has been attached, and an appropriate length of wire has been included and can be strung on site by the client.
