This calm and quiet nocturne shows an expanse of bog grasses lit by the moon on a cloudy night.

There's a sense that although you feel alone in this still place with a big sky, at the same time you are connected with the world through your sensory experience.

When there, your feet move on a soft spongy ground while the grasses brush gently on your legs. You breathe in the peaty moistness of the bog. You take in the cool greenish light of the silent evening.

Tapping into those senses and bringing them through into the painting can make the atmosphere in the piece palpable.

This is an oil on deep edged canvas ready to hang. The edges are painted white.

All paintings are varnished to add a protective coat against dust.

Only the highest quality archival fine art grade oil paints are used on a surface gessoed and prepared by myself.

All work is carefully packed using protective compressed foam boards 2 cm deep so that your painting arrives safely.
