I came across a very unusual peony in the monastery garden. The petals range from naples yellow to rich yellow, with a very beautiful red at the base. It seemed to me like an aristocrat among all the peonies. This painting goes well with another work from the "Peonies" series.

Professional watercolor paint and soft pastel on Pastelmat paper.
