Original artwork description
In "xc-ry", the abstract exploration takes on a new chromatic energy, shifting the balance toward a vibrant contrast between warmth and coolness. The title, sounding almost like a code or a phonetic formula, hints at an X-ray of the invisible, an attempt to map the energy flows and resonances moving beneath the surface of consciousness.
Visually, the composition moves away from muted tones to embrace the intensity of emerald green, teal, and ochre/rust orange. Applied with the characteristic fluidity of watercolor, the medium leaves behind beautiful pooling, sedimentations, and gradients of pigment: the orange circles act as magnetic nuclei, warm suns or expanding vital cells floating in space, instantly drawing the viewer's eye.
The large curved and linear shapes in shades of green and slate blue create an almost skeletal or biological framework. A large, asymmetrical "U" cradles the central elements, while thick horizontal bands at the top and bottom frame the scene like the boundaries of a microscope slide.
The rhythmic sequence on the left, made of a vertical constellation of sharp green dots, introduces a sense of temporal pacing or binary code, anchored at the bottom by a small, asymmetrical "X", a graphic punctuation mark that seems to sign or seal the composition.
The overall effect is that of a biomorphic landscape in perfect equilibrium. While sh-io felt like an intimate, whispered sigh, "xc-ry" is a denser, more dynamic analysis, where the instinct of liquid color floats within a structure of signs trying to decipher the secret rhythm of nature and the soul.
