"Wonderland under our feet" - is a macro photo of dewdrops on grass blades.

I can see in this photo an otherworldly landscape somewhere in the wonderland, but it is a photo of a grass under our feet. Honestly, I adore capturing such moments! For me, it is like proof of the statement, that we live in a wonderful and magically beautiful world.

I call this photo "Wonderland under our feet". And it is a part of the same name collection, which includes macro photos of dewdrops and raindrops on the grass and mosses, that I've captured in our garden and the forest around the house.

Through the photos of the collection I show how I do see the world, and for me this collection is like a photo proof that we live in a wonderful and even magical world! And this magic is in the feelings, in the way how our emotions can be changed when we are looking at a beauty, when we are with Nature, enjoying the game of colours and forms. It can look so simple and childish, but it is powerful - it can shift the way of thinking. The way to see the world around us, our world!


This collection is like a manifest - "Just look what we have under our foot! We walk in the wonderland!".

The artwork is printed in a limited edition of 15, using Hahnemuehle fine art paper and archival pigment inks. Chosen materials provide age resistance to fading, deep colors, and print contrast.

📸 ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Etuvgi is a Sweden-based self-educated artist with aphantasia, which uses photography and digital art to visualize her feelings, concepts, and dreams.

Etuvgi's works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally. In 2022, she became a finalist at the Arte Laguna Prize 16. In 2023, the artist was granted a stipend from the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
