" Between Who She Was and Who She Is" Series “Light Between Days”

This work explores the fragile and often invisible threshold between different stages of the self — a space where identity is no longer what it used to be, yet not fully formed into what it will become.

In a world defined by constant acceleration and external demands, the most decisive transformations occur quietly. They unfold in moments of pause, introspection, and solitude — when one is finally able to hear the subtle, persistent voice within.

Kirichenko approaches human life not as a linear progression, but as a series of inner passages shaped by choice, responsibility, and the courage to step into the unknown. Each transition carries both loss and possibility: the weight of what must be left behind, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead.

This painting invites the viewer into that intimate interval — to reflect on their own turning points, the decisions that redefined them, and the unseen forces that guided those choices. Were they conscious, intuitive, inevitable? Could another path have been taken?

Rather than offering answers, the work holds space for contemplation — a quiet recognition that becoming is never complete, and that we are always, in some way, suspended between who we were and who we are becoming.

Series “Light Between Days”

In her ongoing series, Halyna explores the stages of human life — moments of transformation, contemplation, and quiet revelation that shape our inner landscapes. Each work captures a fragment of this universal journey: the search for meaning, the experience of change, the delicate balance between action and reflection.

Through minimalist composition and symbolic detail, Halyna traces the rhythm of contemporary existence — where rapid change often challenges our sense of stability, and yet, within that movement, each person seeks their own center of calm. Her characters inhabit intimate spaces of thought and emotion, revealing how the ordinary moments of everyday life can become gateways to self-understanding.

This series reflects on how we navigate our choices, how we adapt and grow, and how we find beauty in the quiet intervals between life’s transitions. Halyna’s work speaks gently but profoundly about resilience, introspection, and the timeless human capacity to evolve while remaining true to oneself.
