Wolf BLUE is a sculpture of a wolf with a long trumpet-shaped snout, questioning light blue eyes and a pretty jumper in shades of blue.

It's part of the CalbinoOz series, sculptures made from natural calabash grown in the south of France.

This calabash was dried and emptied of its contents, seeds and skins, so that it could be exported worldwide. It was then filled with red clay balls to make it heavier, so that this wolf weighs...

Like many CalbinoOz sculptures, this wolf wears a small knitted jumper made one by one from shaped and patterned surfine wood cellulose, then painted in several layers of different shades to give a mottled, slightly ceramic effect. The paint is then protected with marine varnish (but this work should not be displayed outside as it would be damaged).

Materials: dried natural calabash wood, surfine wood pulp, acrylic paint, water-soluble oil paint, blown glass, marine varnish.
