The second in a series of paintings I have made based around a lonely grouping of trees. I wanted to communicate the atmosphere of winter chill, winter light, and winter colours as the rural farmland rests for the winter. It is good to go back to the same place and see it in different lights and different seasons, and this is a favourite place of mine in Fife.
