Its been incredibly cold of late. Frost on the ground and very little happening in the garden. The main interest for me outside at the moment (apart from watching the starlings head to their roost - and the odd very small murmuration) are the teasles. they seem to look even better in Winter than in Summer.
This is a little study of a few teasles with a Winter sun and some other grasses and plants. I have tried to get the feeling of a chilly day - frost on the leaves and berries and a low and weak Winter sun.
The painting is supplied in a white mount.
