In this painting, I wanted to capture the profound stillness of a winter morning. I was inspired by the way the deep blue shadows fall across the fresh snow and how the river seems to hold its breath between the trees.
Working with watercolors, I focused on the contrast between the dark, sharp silhouettes of the branches and the soft, misty horizon. For me, this piece is about finding peace and clarity in the cold. When you look at it, I hope you can feel that crisp, fresh air and the absolute quiet of the forest. I put a piece of my own winter reflection into every brushstroke.
