Painted with lively brush strokes and thickly applied vibrant oil paints; A serene and tranquil view of late summer at Giverny with autumnal colours. The perspective leads the viewer into the depths of the landscape where the light shimmers on the distant trees. The foreground water reflections and lily pads echo the distant reds, yellow, purple and pink creating a serene and tranquil focus for the composition.
