Anxious and awkward, I clumsily try to express what can’t yet be articulated. I don’t know what is right and what is wrong because it’s muddled up. I don’t want to be unkind, and I don’t want to be taken advantage of. I just tell myself that everything will be okay, and when I do, I can feel my heartbeat slow down a little. Ah, relief is in sight.
