This is one of two paintings of the wild heather that adorns the Ashdown Forest in late summer and Autumn. This colourful work shows a swathe of heather that turns many of the forests slopes a vibrant pinky purple, becoming particularly vibrant in the sunshine. The painting is set in a white painted wood frame with a shadow gap between the canvas and frame to enhance the work. I use high quality, professional oil paints that have longevity and will not fade.
