- Whitby - North Yorkshire
Original artwork description
Whitby Abbey sits on the top of the East Cliff overlooking the North Sea with the town of Whitby nestled into both sides of the river Esk.
I have visited many times and love the way all the little houses cling to the sides of the Esk Valley - a long flight of 199 steps linking the harbour and town with the Abbey.
The painting is a mixed media work featuring collage and acrylic paint. Stylised and impressionistic it aims to capture the essence of Whitby without representing every single detail in the scene.
It is supplied rolled in a tube.
Materials used:
acrylic inks and collage
Details:
- Mixed-media painting on Paper
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 47 x 47cm (unframed) / 47 x 47cm (actual image size)
- Signed on the front
- Style: Impressionistic
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
