Whisper of Summer (2026) Original Oil Painting by Andrii Kovalyk

This painting grew out of my plein air journey by the sea, inspired by a quiet summer moment when light gently glides across the water and time seems to pause. A distant sailboat becomes a symbol of freedom and inner calm, drifting between reality and memory.

Back in the studio, I moved beyond direct observation, allowing layered textures and shimmering reflections to create a more emotional, luminous atmosphere — a soft whisper of summer, filled with warmth and serenity.

This work is based on my impressions from a painting trip in Croatia.
