“Paths of Memory”
These landscapes emerge from familiar places I walk through, but also once rode across on horseback. I find again the rhythm of walking, the cadence of the horse’s stride, the shared breath with nature.
I paint from images I’ve taken — not to reproduce them, but to hold onto their grounding — a light, a perspective, a vibration. Then I let myself be guided, instinctively, through textures, silences, and subtle traces.
Even in its absence, the horse is present: in the rhythm of the path, in the listening to the world it once taught me. These works are spaces of passage and presence — inner landscapes where memory becomes matter, and each step invites quiet contemplation.
