Where Tomorrow Waits, acrylic and oil on canvas, 150 x 120 x 4 cm

Due to its size, this artwork ships rolled in a tube. This is the safest way to transport large original artworks and allows me to offer it at a more competitive price. Any professional picture framer can stretch the canvas onto wooden stretcher bars, ready to hang, at a very reasonable cost. Please message me if you would like a quote to ship the artwork ready to hang.

Where Tomorrow Waits continues my exploration of light as a symbol of hope and possibility. Thousands of individually dripped and thrown marks of paint gradually build an immersive woodland where the eye is drawn towards a glowing opening beyond the trees. Rather than focusing on precise detail, I wanted to capture the feeling of moving forwards, of being quietly drawn towards something brighter just beyond reach. Rich earthy greens, warm ochres and muted mineral tones are layered with shimmering iridescent gold and bronze, allowing the painting to subtly transform as the light changes throughout the day. The metallic highlights catch the light from different angles, bringing movement and depth to the surface. Large in scale, this expressive contemporary landscape is designed to surround the viewer with warmth, atmosphere and optimism while inviting a moment of reflection and wonder.
